Monday 21 November
Bought hair straightener, pre-paid telstra dongle, planted tomato’s bok choy, carrots, dug another bed.
Willow was growling very loud and deep, I didn’t realised it was her. I thought there must have been a stray dog around the place as I have never heard her growl before. I went outside to check and she was heading towards the orchard. There was a man in a disposable white coverall and mask spraying the orchard for fruit fly. He was spraying fluid onto the trunks of the trees. We don’t have fruit fly here but it has been found in ‘the zone’ so that is why they are spraying here. ‘The zone’ is a 1.5 km radius of an infected area. Better get out there and pick up all the fruit that has fallen onto the ground. Mum kept the orchard spotless but I have let it go. I am a bad country girl.
