11.11.11

Friday 11 11 11

Finally remembered to take the wheel chair back to the hospital.  Was walking down the road – for lack of a footpath- when a cousin on his bmw 900 pulled up beside me turned of the bike put it on the footstand and pulled the name of a book out of the bikes bag for me.  Had a bit of a chat and a car pulled up in the cross over road between the two roads.  It was mums doctor stopped for a chat.  I looked down the road at a car pulled up a couple of driveways down and it was mums next door neighbour on the other side stopped in to see her mum.  She gave a wave and I waved back.  A car wanting to use the crossover the doctor was parked on good naturedly drove on past down to the next crossover road and came back up the road.
Life in the country is sometimes so simple.

Sitting at mums kitchen table on my laptop I look up in time to see it is the eleventh hour.   I take a moment for the traditional Remembrance Day reflection and then see my camera on the table so recorded the time and myself.  ( didn’t have that planned but guess it was meant to be.)  Don’t know what for as it is just figures.  Neat figures yes but figures all the same.  I don’t believe there is any cosmic force behind it all.  All over the world the eleventh hour of 11 11 11 will continue to occur for the next 20 hours approx.  but still it is not something that is going to occur again in my life time.

Still 11 11 11 went to dinner with my brother and two cousins.  Of course had the mandatory game of crib afterwards at the house of one of the cousins.  Approx. 10.30 we finally walked out into the night.  It was a bright night the remains of a full moon.  A few wispy clouds could be seen in the night sky and there was a bright white arc from horizon to horizon.   A midnight rainbow!  How beautiful.  OK it was a jet stream but it really did look magical.
