Another trip to David’s family house to do the washing.   The first load of washing that I tried to do on arrival up here the washing machine decided not to spin.   Ok I can handle that so I hand wrung them out and hung them up v. wet.  It is reasonably warm here so no problems with them drying.   Washing machine not even 3 years old but of course has a 2 year warranty.   Phoned Haier but they said tough it is 10 months out of warranty.  Called the local service guy and he said it would be better just to buy a new machine.   This one was not worth fixing. Still with a model name of ‘fuzzy logic’ I would not have bought the washing machine in the first place.    When we got back from Melbourne I tossed all our washing in the machine and it refused to work at all.  The light was on but no one was home.   Have been taking the washing around to David’s family home ever since.  Their house is for sale and there is no one living there.  Some family members come up at weekends and do the lawns and keep the place neat and tidy but otherwise it is unoccupied so it is v. handy for me and a lot better than having to go to the Laundromat.
