it's amazing how far one little ticket can go

I went to Whitfords with Danny this morning to have a bit of a look and do a bit of exploring.   It was early when we arrived so nothing much was open.  I had originally decided I would also go to Hilary's and spend some time there before heading back to Whitfords for my ride home.  I rearranged my day and decided to go to Hilary's then back for a wander through Whitfords.    I wandered out to the bus stop and bought this amazing little day ticket from the bus driver.  I jumped onto the Scarborough bus and when I got to Hilary's I decided that I couldn't let the visit go by without going to Scarborough so I stayed on the bus deciding to visit Hilary's on the way back.   At Scarborough I did a walk around the beach, the wind was quite cool and I only had a light jumper with me so wandered back to the bus station to head back to Hilary's.  I noticed the Freemantle bus pulling out as I got there.   Now that would be nice, I like Fremantle but the next bus didn't leave til much later in the day.   On impulse I decided to go into Perth.  Once there I jumped on the Fremantle train which left Perth about every half hour and arrived in Fremantle about the same time as the sunshine.   As luck would have it the street market was on in the mall and I wandered through.  I spent the day exploring parts that I hadn't seen on my last visit.   Love the town.  About 2 I decided to head for home.   The public transport is so well used in Perth.   Back on the train back to Perth and it was packed.  I streamed off at Perth and got lost for the first time today.   I thought I had followed the signs to say to the bus terminals but everyway I turned I ended up at the trains again.   Finally I grabbed a railway employee sitting in a glass office (I don't think it was his job to give directions but I was desperate).   How do I get to the bus terminal I asked feeling quite useless.    I was sure he was going to say just there and look at me rather blankly, but thankfully he didn't.   Where are you going he asked me.  To Whitfords.  Oh he said have you got a ticket.   I flashed my now well used little magic ticket.   He pointed to the train on the platform through the gates. That train will take you to Whitfords and it leaves in a couple of minutes.  Oh train, I hadn't thought about that but of course I should have remembered.   I thanked the very polite and helpful gentleman and he sent me off with a big smile.  Its amazing how nice some people are and it really made me feel good.   Once I arrived at the Whitford stop it was a bus to the shopping center and I was ready for my ride home.  And no I never did get to Hilary's.
